Rod Scrimsher

Rod Scrimsher

Physical Therapist

Rodney was raised in Burbank, Washington and graduated from Columbia High School. He enjoyed working on the family farm throughout high school and during the summers while attending college.

He graduated from Brigham Young University with a Bachelor of Science in Exercise Science in 1993. He then received his Master’s degree in physical therapy from Mount St Mary’s College in Santa Monica California in 1995.

After completing a residency program at UCLA he was fortunate to work in the UCLA outpatient sports clinic for 3 years before returning to the Northwest. He moved to Clarkston Washington where he opened a new clinic for Columbia Physical Therapy which he managed from 1998-2010. During this time he worked closely with athletes from Clarkston and Asotin high schools by serving as an athletic trainer.

Rodney moved back to the Tri-Cities in 2010 when he began managing the West Richland Physical Therapy office where he has continued to work since that time. He enjoys working in the small community of West Richland. He continues to specialize in outpatient orthopedics and enjoys working with a wide variety of patients ranging from young children to the elderly. His core belief is people are happiest when healthy. He strives to provide a positive atmosphere which promotes optimal health and wellness. He offers one-on-one personal attention to each patient and implements manual therapy techniques as needed to improve function. He promotes a healthy lifestyle and tries to incorporate education and exercise with each patient in the clinic.

Rodney is married to Angie Koontz of Upland California. They have five children together. Rod’s other interests include cycling, water sports on the Columbia River, mountaineering/hiking, camping, and being a fan of his children’s sports teams.

Heather

Heather started working at West Richland Physical Therapy as an aide in 2013.  She loved working hands on with patients and seeing their progression throughout their recovery.  She worked as an aide for 9 years before moving to the front desk as the office manager. She still loves watching our patients progress, although now it’s from the front desk. Outside of work she loves spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren.

Deanne

It’s a cliche, but I do love hiking in the mountains and long walks on the beach.  It’s even better if I’m chasing grandkids.  I have been with West Richland Physical Therapy for nearly 9 years.  It’s amazing to be a part of a patients healing and to watch them progress and reach goals.

Isabel

Hello, my name is Isabel. I’ve worked in the healthcare field for a few years now and I really enjoy it because I get to interact with patients all day. Something I like doing outside of work is going on hikes and exploring new places in nature.
